Imploded Screaming (a poem)

Rhythmic thumping,
The sickening drop and thud;
When the words leave The Mouth
All else stops,
But only for a second.
Then the crashing, and the falling,
And the ricochets,
And the ocean in your lungs.
But the body is a glass container
Till the inflictor's weight is lifted.
Then the glass case shatters,
Leaving a person
Folding Inward.
And inside the folds:
Imploded Screaming
That fades away with the passing of time.
